Complaint
- - A lady accused Kim of theft; store said she was banned.
- - A month later the manager banned us, though we did nothing.
- - We were never told about the ban.

While shopping, a lady walked up to my Kim and started screaming at her that she was banned from Goodwill because she was caught stealing. My mom is 72 and in no way has stolen or been banned.
So the lady went outside and called the cops. After talking with store employees, it was said the lady was banned and we were good to go. Here it is a month later, and today while shopping, the manager tells my mom and me that we are banned from Goodwill.
We were never told that and never did anything. So why should we be banned for something someone else did?
User's recommendation: Don’t donate or shop goodwill. They are all about making money and not helping the poor.

Hope you're no longer allowed to be keeping yourself open late because very dangerous for all of your employees and you guys got to start start to become closing down like about 5:00 p.m. throughout the whole week cuz you're not going to make any more money that late at night and I can make any more money
Practice Goodwill store is very stressful for all of your co-workers who have to stay there till about 7:30 p.m. that it you're no longer allowed to keep him there that late.
You're supposed to start to pay completion on your store down more earlier at night at the Ashland Wisconsin Goodwill store cuz you're not making any more money till late at night. That is very greedy. Good real story.

Answer Wisconsin grill store that is scheduling manager at the Goodwill store. All the employees are not very happy with the closing hours and that causes them to go get very stressed.

RIdiculous Pricing!
- - Prices for used items are high.
- - Trying on is not allowed.
- - Bags are charged.
- - Stores seem less busy and racks are full.
- - I will stop shopping and donating.
I've always loved shopping at Goodwill; it was affordable and fun, and I spent a lot of money and made donations. Now the prices are ridiculous, overpriced for used items.
I can buy new for what you're charging. How dare you? You charge high prices, but trying on is not allowed. Who in their right mind would pay that and not know if it fits?
I refuse to shop there any longer and will no longer donate anything. I never see a busy store now. The racks are so full you can't see items! Get a clue; greed is not profitable.
You are benefiting no one but yourself. Good luck with that! Oh!
And you charge for bags? Really?

A CEO for a company based on serving those in need making over half a million dollars a year, I find reprehensible! I found a place elsewhere that's not so deceptive.

Goodwill sucks high prices, not friendly staff
Ive been shopping at Goodwill for five years and saw the staff there have rubbed their *** on me, harassed me and made fun of me. I have also noticed that on prices at the old location they give certain people reduced prices and other customers had to pay the full price.
especially the one in Saint Augustine, Florida. I have some of the employees asking me out. they go through employees a lot because they dont know how to treat employees or customers, right I will not be shopping there ever again. it is a bunch of drama and nonsense.
Just the shop. It is not worth it at all.
especially a manager called Jane and Trish. IThey like to make fun of people behind their back and run their mouth about people.

Every time I am in this Goodwill, an associate named Blance is always watching or following me. Then, when I make a purchase, she always comes to the register, saying something about tickets on items or the tag, in which I don't do the prices or ticketing, so if it's wrong, it's the company's fault.
I am very pissed off because she is saying I am stealing, and I surely don't have to do that. So, I don't want to seek legal action against Goodwill, so you should tell her to leave me alone unless I am stealing; you call the cops. Stop acting as if I did something I didn't do.
I am a black female, and I am sick and tired of these racist *** people. This is what some gave me as her name and corporate number.
- I can shop 4 bargains
- Some associates think everyone steals than call the cops

Hush hush jewelry call list favorites
The Goodwill in Fort Collins Colorado has a secret list of customers they call when the jewelry bags are going on the floor. I once heard the female manager tell a lady who was the wife of a friend she'll call her when they get the jewelry bags.
The lady had bought all the bags. Then today I asked about the jewelry bags and was told by the cashier they were all gone.
They have customers they call and they get them first. They need to stop the favoritism.

This Goodwill is in Anderson, Indiana for some reason it says the location is Detroit, Michigan and it is not. It is the location in Anderson, Indiana.
I saw her in the store, and this was the second time I'd seen her. The first time, I simply left, but this time, she followed me around the store, muttering cuss words under her breath. She wouldn't leave me alone, harassing me. When I spoke to her, she went off on me in front of the entire store, her words loud enough for other customers to hear.
She cursed at me, and I had no choice but to walk out.
Sarah also made false accusations, claiming that I was a thief. I have never stolen anything from any store, especially Goodwill, where I spend a significant amount of money. I've been to many other stores in the area, but not this one.
If nothing is done about this, I will file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. This situation is humiliating and embarrassing, and Sarah is not a good representative of your company at all.
- There are no pros at this goodwill location
- High prices and zero customer service you are nothing to them
- Employees and managers are impolite
- Employee was rude and discriminatory
Preferred solution: I think she need to be dismissed as an employee I am sure I am not the first person she has done this to

Resolved: Unhappy with purchase of a gift card
Replacement gift card.
I am happy to say that this issue has been resolved in a timely matter, once I reach out to Goodwill via facebook messenger and explain the situation in details, they agreed to send me a replacement card, They handled this matter in a very professional manner,
I purchased a gift card, and when I got home, I noticed it looked worn. This made me suspicious, so when I checked the balance, I found out this card was used five times prior to my purchase.
I would suggest that customers ask to see the card prior to purchasing it and do not leave gift cards at the store once the balances are depleted. Also, I would recommend that the store not recycle gift cards; no one wants to give or receive an old gift card as a present.
- You can find some really great bargains
- Lazy and unprofessional
- Some items are overpriced
- Some areas of the store are messy and unorganized
Preferred solution: A coupon for at least 50% off of my next purchase.
User's recommendation: Always check gift cards prior to purchasing and never leave your gift card at a store when your balance has been depleted.
If you are unable to hold the gift card before you pay, that is all on you. You should know better.

Clean, they make a lot of money from free donations.
Dirty, smelly, unkept, dirty floor, the merchandise is also dirty.
